TRG is online retailer who started trading in 2004.  They operate through various brands and industries from Consumer Electronics to Pet Accessories.  In 2012 they processed over 48,000 orders with a turnover of over £1.3m.

Background

We have provided consultancy, IT support and software development services from the outset.

What the client wanted

One unified system to handle ecommerce, sales, products, warehousing, inventory, customers, suppliers and accounts.

What the client received

As this project started with no legacy solutions, we were able to create a solution which included all operations needed for a multi-brand retailer.

With the ecommerce we create a shopping solution that could be reused for each brand.  These shops retreive all information from the central database and also save all orders to the same database.

The sales team were able to retreive all orders and ensure good profit margins.  If payment successful the system would push the order to the warehouse team.  Once the orders were with the warehouse, they system would automaticlly calculate the correct courier and service based on volume, weight, dimensions and destination.

Warehouse systems were intergrated with couriers.  This allowed an automatic label printing service alongside order printing.

Accounts team had access to key information in real time, with management accounts, financial reports and profit and loss statements.
